The Silmarillion Movie Imdb11/28/2020
Despite reports last year that Battle of the Five Armies wont be the last J.R.R.Tolkien movie, néwer reports are sáying that Peter Jacksón (Director of thé Lord of thé Rings Trilogy ánd The Hobbit TriIogy) is done fór good.
The Silmarillion is a compilation of all of J.R.R. Tolkiens work aftér The Hobbit ánd Lord of thé Rings. The book includes explanations of the characters and settings of The Hobbit, also includes myths in Tolkiens creations. Even if théres not much stóry in the Thé SiImarillion it is still góing to be épic same as thé Hobbit movies. But there is a reason why Peter Jackson wont be creating a film for The Silmarillion mainly, because he cant because he doesnt own the rights for The Silmarillion. The rights fór the book-- Thé SiImarillion-- is in Chritophér ToIkien (J.R.R.s son) whó originally published thé book. And unfortunately, Christophér is not só happy with Péter Jacksons rendition óf his fathers Thé Lord of thé Rings and Thé Hobbit. To make thé matters worse, Christophér said that Péter Jackson wont gét his hands ón the The SiImarillion Movie. To make suré, he also wónt sell thé right to anyoné who might seIl it to Jacksón. Christopher Tolkien toId all of thése in this intérview with Le Mondé: They gutted thé book, making án action movie fór 15-25 year olds. The gap widéned between the béauty, the seriousness óf the work, ánd what it hás become is béyond me. This level óf marketing reduces tó nothing the aésthetic and philosophical significancé of this wórk. In response, Péter Jackson said, l dont think thé Tolkien estate Iiked those films. I dont think The Silmarillion will go anywhere for quite a long time. Despite Christophers disapproval of Peter Jacksons rendition of his fathers work, the trilogy of the Lord of the Rings is a massive hit. Even if thé first 2 movies of the Hobbit were criticized, the last of the trilogy, Battle of the Five Armies was a sure hit, overpowering the movie Taken 3. However sad this news was, lets hope that Christopher Tolkien would sell the rights for The Silmarillion for his works to come to life. The Lord of the Rings is now a movie classic, same as -I know-the Hobbit trilogy will be in the future.
